Godaddy is number one Hosting company in the world. But only those know it’s reality who are their customers from long time. How Godaddy is converting from trustyworthy brand to money generating company.
After IPO, Godaddy focused on creating money, forget to retain their customers. Whatever is required to customer, Godaddy will provide you but charge for every service. I am afraid, that Godaddy will not start converting their Toll Free Number to paid Customer Services.
Godaddy end up Email Support panel. Now you’re unable to communicate with Godaddy Stuff through Email. While Godaddy claimed that it replaced their Email Support with Live Support channel.
Live support channel is also open for short span of time.
If you own Shared Hosting, then you must wait for 5-10 minutes to talk with Customer Representative. It’s totally adopting the culture alike Banks. where only those entertain well who holds big bank statement. While all others stand in a que and wait for their turn. Be remember it’s global que, so think when your turn will be come.
I required backup for my client website. I called to Godaddy Representative. First i fed up with mess up IVR. Then after 10 minutes, my call connected to Godaddy Customer Representative. I just requested to restore my backup. But he said, Godaddy has changed it’s policy, now you have to pay $150 for getting backup.
Many Hosting Companies in Pakistan providing free backup facility.
There are also many other things, that fed up the user with this conglomerate and shifting their hosting to other companies.
I personally never suggest you to go for Godaddy.
