Inidia is the beneficiary while Pakistan is suffering human and economic losses

LAHORE, Feb.19: The Jamaat e Islami Chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that CIA and Black Water men were pouring into Pakistan in the guise of diplomats and embassy staff and were behind the terrorist activities in the country.

Addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, he said that the situation in this country would further deteriorate with the arrival of more Americans. He said the US and India were the mastermind of terrorism in Pakistan. As soon as the Pakistani agencies began the surveillance of foreigners and US citizens and checked them on roadside and recovered from them heavy arms and ammunition, there has been a significant fall in terrorist activities, he noted.

Commenting on the ISPR report on the army and civilian casualties in the Terror War, Syed Munawar Hasan said this report should be an eye opener both for the government and the armed forces. According to the report, over 30,000 Pakistanis have been killed in this US war so far, of which 10,000 are army men. He said the 18,000 alleged terrorists killed in the war were also Pakistanis. He believed that hpw the ISPR report was not correct as the actual casualties were much higher. Even then, he said, on the average, ten army men were being killed in this war every day which was an alarming figure and there was no sense in sacrificing Pak soldiers to please Washington.

He said the losses in the Terror War were higher that Pakistan army losses of men and material during the three wars with India. This clearly indicated that this war was not in national interest and should be abandoned.

The JI chief said the statement of US Special envoy Richard Holbrook indicated that Islamabad had waved visa restrictions for the US citizens which implied another  surrender and accepting US dictation against national interests.

He said that certain anti Islam elements and agents of the West were talking of abolition of death sentence in the country. He said NGOs raised such issues only to secure more funds from the West and raised issues not acceptable in a  Muslim society.   The Muslim masses of the country would foil all such conspiracies, he added.  He believed that the enforcement of the Shariah would end all problems in the society.
